Little Legacy: Chapter 1.2

 Chapter 1.2: Hijinks and Hijacks

Despite her late night in San Myshuno and having to sleep on the floor of a tent, Charley was up early and perkier than usual as she headed off to Willow Creek Hospital for her first day.

Her first patient was little Billie Jeng and most of the tests went... alright... Don't worry about that shock in your mouth. It's a... side effect... yes!
"Oh and this big ol' scanner, yeah... I can't say it doesn't scare me too... But good news. I'm going to leave you in the capable hands of our resident Doctor Yasmin." Embarassed about not understanding how all this big new equipment worked, she quickly passed the case along to Dr. Yasmin. You'd think they'd give you some sort of training on your first day... Maybe she should've gone to Uni afterall.

While Billie was being taken care of by Dr. Yasmin, we moved to our next patient, Lily Feng, who was complaining about her bladder aching. Seemed like a serious case and Charley was fired up to help solve the issue. Turns out Lily simply had to go to the bathroom. So Dr. Yasmin sent her home with no diagnosis. It must be nice to pay for a doctor's visit every time you have to pee.

In the meantime, she was able to get Billie the medication she needed for her Starry Eyes. That's one treated patient down, two to go.

Next Charley got to run a series of tests on Nancy Landgraab. Nancy wasn't too thrilled with our competence when using the x-ray machine. And Charley got embarrassed all over again because she couldn't understand how to read all the variables and numbers that pop-up once she hits the scan button. In the end she gladly passed her charts along to Dr. Yasmin and hid in the breakroom until Yasmin had a diagnose.

Yasmin reported back that Nancy needed her Llama Flu Vaccine. So when Charley reappeared in Nancy's room to administer the vaccine, Nancy was hesitant to let her stick a needle in arm. Which made Charley question her own ability.

Turns out, Charley could at least do that without issue. And Nancy was able to leave feeling better.
As long as Charley didn't have to mess with big machinery, she'd be fine. You sure there isn't anyone here who is suppose to train me before I start? Anyone? No?
Her work day came to an end after that leaving her with 2/3 patients treated for her promotion. For not having any training, that not so bad. Charley returned home to find that the Humor & Hijinks Festival was in town. Empty plot of land with a single tent or making a fool of herself with her bad puns.

Bad puns it is. It was a tough decision, don't get her wrong. But a sim's gotta do what a sim's gotta do. So we drink from the forbidden fountain of puns.

Ah our first victim. "Greetings, I've run into a slight problem. Maybe you can help. I want to grow a garden, but I can seem to find the thyme."

... She wasn't amused.
"What's the best food bargain in San Myshuno? A Penny a Pizzazz" Still silence. Charley was losing hope at this point when...

"Actually I gave up that lifestyle, cause I'm a Penny Richards." Penny replied. Turns out she went and married Gavin Richards (which is just too cute). Charley laughed so hard that she nearly bumped into Octavia Moon.

Turns out Octavia didn't see to mind and said a cordial hello before heading off to attend to her fans. Penny and Charley had a good little giggle over their celebrity siting.

They spent the majority of the evening laughing and sharing jokes with each other. At one point, Charley's stomach let a loud growl. "And the simmy award for most realistic monster goes to my tummy. I better NOMinate one of these feed the beast."

Charley got up and was the only one in line to order some Tanjine. But the delicious aroma of food managed to draw the attention of several others and by the time her food was ready some lady named Kristie Mohajer snatched her food right up.

"Excuse me? Did you just really take my food? I know you may be a homeless sim and all, but that's no excuse to take someone's else hard earned food." Charley may have gotten a little defensive, but every cent counts right now.

So Charley reclaimed her food but made herself a new enemy in the process.
"You better watch your back!" Kristie declares before leaving.

Despite all her food troubles, the night ended in favor of the Jokesters, which lead to Charley walking home with an extra $500 in her pocket. Guess things are starting to look up, she thought to herself as the left the festival's firework show. She managed to make a new friend, a new enemy, and some spending change.

Though perhaps she spoke too soon, cause by the time she arrived home the sky had opened up and rain was starting to fall. Well hopefully her tent was waterproof.

    1. I really had no idea how she even got in there, I just knew that everyone was gathered around the vendor cheering, sadly it wasn't for his food.
