Chapter 1.4: Ghost Night or Girl's Night?
Charley here with a friendly reminder to always eat a good breakfast to jump start your day. (Even if it's a little cold in the middle.)
Today Charley got to meet some more townies. Mila Munch is now Mila Flex, and interesting combo for sure. She even found it funny.
Oh wait, turns out that was the Gas-and-giggles laughing. Scratch that thought.
Charley treated a few more patients before Nancy Landgraab dropped by and she was forced to learn a whole new machine. We all know how well Charley does with machines. That face says it all. Instead, let's pretend she's cringing at Nancy's sunglasses.
Turns out she has Starry Eyes, so maybe you can forgive the sunglasses indoors, but next time, perhaps she should reconsider...
Uh-oh, looks like the patients aren't the only ones getting sick. Might what to get that checked out, Charley, dear.
A hop-skip, and some medicine later, her day comes to an end and barely finishes getting cleaned up before her phone is ringing, Penny on the other line is raving about Ghost Night down at the Old Quarter Inn.
"But we're not..." Charley mused, questioning life for a moment.
"Doesn't matter, let's have a good time. I need to get up and move around!" Penny replied.
Soon they were both out front of the Quarter Inn and my my, look at that belly.
Ohh baby... Charley couldn't contain her excitement for her friend. Not to mention she's simply glowing. The wonder of pregnancy has Charley excited for her own someday. But before that could come about, she needed to find her perfect match.
The two head inside, and since Charley rarely has the opportunity to eat a nice warm meal, she eagerly ran up to the bar to order some fish and chips. Penny wasn't lying when she said it was Ghost Night, there were plenty of apparitions wandering around.
There were plenty of mood floating around the bar, and Charley spent most of her time asking the real questions. "So how did you die? Did it hurt?"
She could tell that most of the ghosts didn't fully appreciate her inquires, so she ended up back at the table with Penny.
"You know, I may be pregnant, but I'm still Windenburg's reigning 'Don't wake the Llama' Champion." Penny boasted, so obviously Charley had to challenge her.
Much to Charley's dismay, she wasn't lying. 2 utter defeats later, Charley threw in the towel. "Alright, you've bested me today. But one day."
Penny chuckled. "I was a little nervous too, it's hard to keep a steady hand with someone moving around inside of you. Just wait until I don't have to balance both."
It may not have been successful in her overall goals, like there weren't any promotions or love connections. But she was able to spend a casual night with her closest friend, and that was a win in her book.

Please be careful and avoid any marked off areas. And we hope you enjoy the renovations when they're completed. Becky?"
"Thank you Julia, Becky here with the important questions. Who thought that this was a grand idea? Thanks."

| Side note though, this really irritates my OCD, I even hand laid individual rock rugs but it turns out they're attracted to lightning. So I guess I can't have nice things... Guess I'll need some lightning rod windmills before I invest time into this. |
