Chapter 1.22: Terrible Twos?
In order to get promoted to the next level, Charley needed to deliver a baby. And her first baby delivery finally arrived. Lily Feng wasn't just sick, was was also extremely pregnant.
Luckily it was a quick delivery, and Lily was sent home with a beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately the baby delivery wasn't enough to get that promotion and she was just a little experience away from getting promoted. But Akira on the other hand is leveling quickly through his career, which is good news.
Archer with his parents always busy with work, spends most of his time at daycare. And will switch to his wabbit tablet when he gets home. For a clingy toddler, he's very self-sufficent. Which is fine for busy parents like Charley and Akira, but also a little upsetting since they don't they only have so much free time to spoil their kids.
Whoever said this was the age of the "terrible twos" didn't have such a well-behaved little boy.
Per usual, Mom and Dad opted to take shifts with Scarlett again. But Charley was more willing since she didn't have to wake up early for work the next day.
Archer was feeling the absence of his parent. Not to mention the thunder outside wasn't exactly welcomed. So he sat and sadly at his breakfast for dinner, while his mom focused on the sibling he didn't ask for.
Though after he finished his dinner like a good boy, Charley sat with him and read him his favorite book. He tried real hard to stay awake long enough to hear how the dinosaur befriended everyone. But his eyes closed and he drifted away into a deep sleep.
Charley tucked him in lovely, before retiring to her own bed.
The next day was a day off for her, so she spent the afternoon teaching Archer various things while also sneaking in a few paintings of her own.
Charley had some fun tossing around Archer, that is until he started working up a stink.
Afterwards Stinky Butt Archer got himself a bath. And boy, is this little boy the cutest.
He enjoyed chewing on the rubber butt.
After his bath, Archer got a lesson in numbers. He's getting smarter and smarter with each passing day. The daycare has done a great job keeping the kids learning new things every day.
Soon enough, their family was about to celebrate a series of birthdays, the first of which belonged to Amber. Welcome Amber to Toddlerhood, bring on the terrible two.
Amber was born with the Clingy trait. And her mother's eyes.
"Alright sweet girl, you move your feet, one right after the other. And if you fall, I will pick you back up! You can do it! Come to Mama!"
Archer ruined his shot, but here are Toddler versions of Archer and Amber. Both rolled the Clingy trait.
In other news, Charley also has officially paid off her $35K loan. And saved enough for the final step of her aspiration. Now they were free to move whenever they they can afford to build a nice home.
