Chapter 1.29: Births and Birthdays
Archer continued working on his friendships by inviting Dwayne over after school. Adding one more childhood friendship to his list.
Charley who was off today, spent most of her time painting various pictures for her plopsy store. It was in the middle of one of those that, the familiar pangs of labor hit.
She called up a cab and her husband so that she could head off to the hospital.
Both arrived at the hospital around the same time and her husband was in a full on frenzy.
"Darling, nothing has changed since the Archer. It's really not a big deal." Charley shook her head at her husband, before turning to check in at the reception.
"Yeah, but what if something bad happens this time!?"
"It's not, trust me... we have capable doctors, I'm in good hands. Come along, you can even watch to make sure."
Even though he was still panicking, Akira at least made it into the surgery room and managed to stay throughout the whole surgery. While he was super stressed, he at least managed to keep it to himself, letting the good doctor do what he needed to take care of Charley and the baby.
Charley was in labor for a little less than two hours, giving birth to a healthy baby girl named Bethany. (This may be the start of a pattern)
They cleared up everything at the hospital and were able to bring Bethany home right away. It didn't take Amber long to realize that she was long longer the baby of the family, it's safe to say she was a little heartbroken by that fact. Not to mention that this was the last of her younger days, since she now shared a birthday with her newest sister.
Archer was busy making his last friend, his neighbor Rebecca Silversweater, the daughter of Judith Ward. According to his mom and dad, they'd be moving soon, but he promised he'd still be in touch. Her glowing red eyes matched her hot-headed nature, but she was pretty tame with him.
Amber still wasn't too happy about her new sibling as well as the knowledge that she has to attend school tomorrow. She just didn't wanna.
In the end, she didn't have a choice and aged up anyways.
Meet Amber, the Social Butterfly Cat Lover. She's got her mother's eyes even more prominently. It'll be interesting how her genetics pan out as she gets older.
