Chapter 1.25: Date Night
Archer after mastering all his toddler skill headed straight for the cake the following day. There isn't much more for him to learn as a tot, so time to move onto bigger and betting skills as a child. Someone has to keep Amber in check after all. So he's got to learn all that he can for her sake.
Charley has this thing about eating during birthdays, so off to the fridge she goes. Meanwhile, Archer headed straight for the mirror to update his look.
Archer is rolling with Goofball and Rambunctous Scamp. There isn't a great close up here, but he's certainly taking after his father.
He definitely takes being a big brother seriously, he even eats dinner while watching over little Amber as she sleeps.
"Don't worry Amber, I'll keep you safe. And I'm going to make sure I can teach you everything you could possibly want to learn." He promised as he enjoyed his dad's famous grilled cheese.
After enjoying his meal, he quickly hijacked his dad's computer to search the web before his dad could get home to even use it. His dad is smart enough to put a passcode on it so that he can't get to the darker sides of the web, but if his dad can learn to hack, there's no reason he can't learn too. But for now, he supposed he'll settle on improving his word per second.
Akira didn't mind that Archer wanted to use the computer anyways. He had other plans. Tonight was the celebrated night on the town and well, he decided that he wanted to treat Charley to something nice. So they dressed up in their best and called up a babysitter for the kids before heading out to Chez Llama.
These two continue to act as if they were a couple teens in love. It was crazy to think there was a time they weren't together. They just fit so well together.
"I know we can't afford nights out like this all the time. But I'm glad we can get out when we can." Akira admitted.
"Well with two kids, who knows when we can get out again."
"We could have more..." He teased with a sly smile.
"I already told you, I'm happy with the two that we have, and if we have any more, it'll be a happy accident." She chuckled as she felt him poking her in the skin playfully. "Besides, I definitely don't want anymore kids until after we move, got that? We don't have the space."
"I know, I know. You're just so good with the kids, that it makes me want more with you. Besides I'm not getting any younger."
"Let's move into a bigger home and then I'll consider."
"Deal!"
Their meal arrived eventually and the had to take obligatory photographs of their interesting looking meals. The food didn't taste nearly as good as it looked, but it was a unique experience that was worth trying once.
Even though the meal didn't live up to their expectations, between the drink and the constant flirting, they were in a playful enough mood that they didn't exactly go to sleep when they got home.
After confirming the kids were asleep, they snuck off to their bed to snuggle.
Tomorrow was the weekend and they didn't have any obligations outside of celebrating the oncoming new year.
